The Averett Theatre Players have a long history of delighting audiences of all ages. The Players typically offer three to four productions each year including a children's show and a musical. Past performances include: "Children of Eden," "Medea," "Our Town," "The Mousetrap," "Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged)" and "Once on This Island."

Theatre for Young People Series
Each year Averett's Theatre for Young People Series introduces hundreds of school kids to the joys of live theatre. When Averett's Theatre Players interact with their young audience members the result is magical! Past Theatre for Young People Series productions include: "Schoolhouse Rock Live!," "Seussical the Musical" and “Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.”
