Academic Calendar Want to know when students will arrive? The academic calendar for the 2008-09 school year can be found online. Check it out for all of your date questions. Dell Deal Looking for a new computer? Check out the Dell University Program. Through the program, Averett employees can save up to 12 percent when ordering a new desktop or laptop for their personal use. Fun in the Sun Faculty/staff along with their family and friends are invited to bring their lunch (drinks will be provided) and join us for a day of fun on Friday, Aug. 8 from Noon-3 p.m. at Ballou Park, shelter #8. Games such as the three-legged race, tug-of-war and Frisbee will be available. The picnic is hosted by Staff Council. |

 Congratulations, Janet!Janet Schwalenberg, '06, has been named assistant director of admissions as of July 1. Among her duties she will be the telecounseling coordinator, local market counselor, VACRAO travel coordinator and assist in freshman counselor training. Janet has worked in the admissions office since August 2004 in various capacities including a data entry specialist, campus visit coordinator and data analyst specialist and most recently as an admissions counselor.  Welcome, Dan!The Office of Institutional Advancement is pleased to announce that Dan Hayes, '92, is the alumni director. Dan joined the IA staff June 16.  Congratulations, Aramark Staff!Averett's Aramark staff was recently awarded the Team THRIVE Award for a job well done during an Aramark conference in Kentucky.
