Commencement ceremonies are a time for family and friends to celebrate the achievements of their student(s). We look forward to welcoming you to campus for this very special event. Averett
holds two commencements a year — Winter & Spring. Commencement exercises
begin at 10:30 am and are held in Averett's E. Stuart James Grant Convocation
and Athletic Center (707 Mt. Cross Rd.), North Campus. Each student has his
or her name read, receives a ceremonial hood and personally receives a diploma
from the University president.
